SoCal Planet Fitness’ Kettle

I am delighted to announce that the 11th Annual Christmas Kettle Luncheon will be held on December 5, 2018 from 11:30am-1:30pm at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. This year, we honor Byron Allen, Founder, Chairman & CEO, Entertainment Studios, and our program will be hosted by dear friend and long-time Salvation Army supporter, Fritz Coleman, NBC4 Southern California’s beloved weathercaster.

SoCal Planet Fitness is raising money to share our good fortune with other families, and at this very moment, many of us feel called to encourage financial support for the families devastated by the Hill & Woolsey fires.

Kindly make a gift to provide immediate support to those affected by the fires. You can feel confident in giving, knowing that 87% of your gift will go directly to individuals and families in need. A cash donation allows The Salvation Army to use monetary contributions to purchase exactly what disaster survivors need. Monetary contributions are also easy to get to the disaster area. Money used to purchase needed items locally can support local and state economies, helping local businesses and workers, which have suffered losses in the wake of the disaster event.

Currently, The Salvation Army is supporting those affected by the Hill and Woolsey Fires with food service, emotional and spiritual care, and other needs. The Salvation Army’s Southern California wildfire relief fund helps support mid- to longer term recovery, as rebuilding lives of those affected takes years and many households continue to need support and assistance long after the immediate effects.

Leading up to, and on the day of the Christmas Kettle Luncheon, the Table Hosts have a lively Kettle Competition to raise money for The Salvation Army’s vital programs for families in need. Each Table Host fills their Kettle through donations raised both online, as well as for a few minutes during the Luncheon program. In good fun, the winning table takes home the Golden Kettle. Of course, the real prize is knowing that we have shared our good fortune with families affected by the wildfires, allowing them the chance for a joyous Christmas season.

Please join me and The Salvation Army in this spirited, inspiring, and meaningful start to your Christmas Holiday Celebration. It is only through the generosity of good people like you that our hungry, homeless and hopeless neighbors can be embraced and served.
